she/her/hers
Laura Korynta is a multimedia artist specializing in botanicals, folk education, and puppetry. She uses her art to investigate how to build connections with ourselves, each other, and the natural world. After spending 8 years as a licensed ESL teacher in both public schools and overseas, she discovered her real passion is helping others connect to the natural environment. Most recently, Laura completed the North House Folk School’s Craft Education Internship Program, where she discovered a love for basketry and traditional craft. She is a 2025 Minnesota State Arts Board Recipient.
