In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn how to needle felt a 5" design onto a linen background. You'll start by transferring a design onto your linen and learning how to felt into specific shapes. You'll explore felting techniques, including blending a color gradient and adding small details to your birds. Once you have the hang of things, you'll be encouraged to get creative with the background space by adding a branch, flowers, or even background colors and details.

Please be aware that felting needles are very sharp and there is a risk of poking yourself. We will provide finger protectors, but if you are welcome to bring your own leather (or thick material) gloves to be extra safe.
