In this class, you will begin a small floral sampler while learning several basic embroidery stitches and how to combine them. Stitches that will be covered include: backstitch, chain stitch, detached chain stitch (lazy daisy), satin stitch, woven wheel, fishbone stitch, fly stitch, and eyelet. Stitches will be practiced to prepare students to complete the design at home and give them the skills to take on future projects.
Fabrics, needles, threads, and stitch dictionaries will be discussed, so students can make informed decisions when taking their skills beyond this project.
