Printing Fabric Yardage with Stencils

Registration for this class opens to MMFS members on November 10, and then to the general public on November 12, 2026. Not a member yet? You can sign up here.

Create yardage printed with stenciled silkscreens. This class will cover both free cut and silkscreen stencil making, and creating printed designs on fabric. Leave with a yard of fabric perfect for napkins, a bag, a pillow cover, or whatever inspires your fancy! 

 

About the Instructor: Kirsten Aune  

Instructor will provide the following:
All project supplies, including screens, ink, squeegees, velum, brushes, tape, irons, freezer paper, scissors, Exacto knives, and fabric.

 

Students are asked to bring:

• An apron, or wear painting clothes
• note-taking tools (if you’d like to take notes)
• We recommend dressing in layers, as certain classrooms can be drafty depending on the time of year.
• Since your class runs over the lunch hour, you may want to consider bringing a lunch or snack. Click  HERE to learn about local eating opportunities available before or after your class.

 

Skill Level
No experience required.

 

Age Recommendation 
Students ages 16 and older are welcome to attend this class. Students ages 16 and 17 may attend without a parent/guardian in attendance as long as MMFS is provided with written parental permission by email to info@marinemillsfolkschool.org.
