Learn the basics of freeform tapestry weaving! Many other types of weaving require precise planning in order to get the desired results. Freeform tapestry, on the other hand, can be done on simple looms with minimal set-up time. A rotating bar will help raise and lower threads for you, eliminating the meticulous manual process of going over-under-over-under each thread, allowing you to get in the weaving flow.
Instructor Riley Kleve will bring oodles of yarn in many colors, showing you how to create a composition inspired by a favorite landscape or go with the flow creating simple shapes with yarn. You’ll learn how to create horizontal and vertical stripes, edges that stay nice and even, and techniques for finishing your masterpiece. Bring your inspiration and curiosity for a relaxing form of fiber artistry!
