In this hands-on class, you’ll learn traditional techniques for cutting, threading, and assembling natural straw into balanced forms. Each participant will make a small aniolek, a Polish ornament, with optional embellishments.
This class takes place during our annual Marine Mills Folk School Fall Festival, and it will be held outside amongst other surrounding activities. Come early or stay late to enjoy all the fun! In the event of extreme weather, the entire festival will be rescheduled for Sunday, September 20. We will notify students of any changes by Friday, September 19.

clothing suitable for the weather, as this class is held outdoors.
Skill Level
No experience required.
Age Requirement
Students ages 16 and older are welcome to attend this class. Students ages 16 and 17 may attend without a parent/guardian in attendance as long as MMFS is provided with written parental permission by email to info@marinemillsfolkschool.org.
