Mini Workshop: Foraging and Salve Making - September 19, 2026

In this mini workshop you’ll take a stroll through the school forest to meet some plants and then head back to the workshop tent to make an herbal salve together. 

 

This class takes place during our annual Marine Mills Folk School Fall Festival, and it will be held outside amongst other surrounding activities. Come early or stay late to enjoy all the fun! In the event of extreme weather, the entire festival will be rescheduled for Sunday, September 20. We will notify students of any changes by Friday, September 19.

 

About the Instructor: Heather Mashuga

 

Instructor will provide the following:

• Oils, beeswax, tins, labels, handouts, and all materials necessary to simmer/infuse the oils over heat.

 

Students are asked to bring: 

• good walking shoes and clothing suitable for the weather, as this class is held outdoors.

 

Skill Level 

No experience required. 

 

Age Requirement 

This class is intended for students 18+. Students ages 16 and 17 may attend with a parent/guardian in attendance.
