With wool, water, and a bit of hands-on work, you can create a beautiful pair of slippers to keep your feet warm this winter. In this class, you’ll learn how to lay out and felt a pair of slippers customized to fit your feet. The slippers will be seamless, durable, and comfortable.
This class will use fast felting wool from instructor and shepherd Linda Johnson-Morke’s sheep. You will leave class with a functional, handmade pair of slippers to enjoy for years to come, and the practical knowledge to continue making wet felted slippers for any sized foot.
About the Instructor: Linda Johnson-Morke
Instructor will provide the following:
All wool (including some colored wool), patterns, foot lasts per size, and wool batting.
Students are asked to bring:
- 2 large bath towels
- sharp scissors
- optional: dyed wool in a preferred color

Skill Level
Beginner to intermediate: this class is best for those with some felting experience or tenacious beginners. Felting is physical and requires some stamina and upper arm strength.
Age Recommendation
Students ages 14 and older are welcome to attend this class. Ages 14-15 must register with another registered adult. Ages 16-17 can register with parent permission by an email to info@marinemillsfolkschool.org.
