Weave your own tubular bands for cool, custom-made shoelaces, bands, and lanyards! In this class, you'll learn how to weave tubular bands on an inkle loom and explore various methods for cleanly finishing the ends.

Weaving a tube is a little different from traditional band weaving: the shuttle passes through the shed in one direction only, then returns to the starting side by passing underneath the warp. As you pull the weft firmly into place, the selvages come together to form a seamless tube.

During class, you will plan your project, warp the loom, and weave your band. Weaving begins in class, but will most likely be completed at home. The instructor is available to help finish the tubular band(s) cleanly when meeting to return the class loom.
