Mindful Watercolor: Painting Sky and Water

Begin your morning in a spacious, unhurried way as we explore watercolor through the calming language of sky and water. In this 2‑hour session, we’ll slow our pace, tune into subtle shifts of light and color, and let watercolor become a practice in presence rather than perfection.

 

We’ll start with simple, sensory warm‑ups that help you notice how water moves and interacts with light. Throughout the class, your instructor will offer grounding cues to help you stay connected to your breath, your body, and the quiet pleasure of watching color bloom and layer on paper.

 

This workshop is welcoming to absolute beginners as well as returning painters who want to reconnect with watercolor in a more mindful way. You’ll leave with a finished sky‑and‑water study and a refreshed sense of spaciousness to carry into the rest of your day.

 

About the Instructor: Jules Bunch

 

Instructor will provide the following: 

All painting supplies, including paints, mediums, pallets, brushes, paper, and reference images.

 

Students are asked to bring:

• an apron, or clothes you do not mind risking staining with paints
• comfortable clothing for sitting indoors
• a willingness to slow down and explore

 

Skill Level 

No experience required. 

 

Age Recommendation 

Students ages 18 and older are welcome to attend this class.
