Have you ever wanted to carve something more than the traditional jack o'lantern? Something other than three triangles and a toothless smile?
In this class, you will learn pumpkin etching, a technique that uses sharp knives to create layered, detailed, glowing images. Students will be provided with all the tools and skills necessary to etch an artistic face or character into the shell of a pumpkin. We'll discuss how light & dark values can create depth and perspective.
Come and discover how to compose a piece of spooky art using light instead of paint, and pumpkins instead of canvas!
