Watercolor Batik - Fall Birch Trees

Try your hand at watercolor batik, a modern twist on the ancient Javanese art of batik. You will work with an image from an original watercolor batik showing birches and fall foliage. 

 

This class will cover batik history and theory as you work hands-on with the batik process. We will work with watercolor on Kinwashi paper. You will build foundational batik skills so that you can continue exploring the medium on your own.
