Herbal Remedies: Make a Soothing Salve

Join local herbalist Heather Mashuga in a hands-on salve making class. Are you ready to turn amazing herbs such as plantain, yarrow, beebalm, ghost pipes, and others into topical remedies? In this class, you will make different herb-infused oils, turn those oils into salves, and learn how to utilize them. Each participant will leave with a few different tins of salves and handouts.

Herbal medicine focuses on herbs to prevent and treat illness and promote health and has been used for centuries by indigenous cultures, from the Americas to China, India, and Nepal.

 

About the Instructor: Heather Mashuga

 

Your instructor will provide the following materials:

• Plants/herbs, oils, beeswax, tins, labels, handouts, and all materials necessary to simmer/infuse the oils over heat.

Skill Level

No experience required. 

 

Age Recommendation

Students ages 12 and older are welcome to attend this class. Ages 12-17 must register with another registered adult.
