Bring a little magic to your garden with this warm, family-friendly lantern making workshop. Together, we’ll create a beautiful 5×10 inch cedar lantern.

We will begin by sketching seasonal designs inspired by the spring equinox, summer blooms, and the rhythms of the natural world. Using easy-to-handle tools like coping saws, you’ll cut your design into cedar panels, then seal and assemble your lantern with a solar light so it glows beautifully outdoors.

This class is welcoming to all ages and skill levels and offers a chance to slow down, work with your hands, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something meaningful. You’ll leave with a handcrafted lantern ready to brighten your garden, patio, or outdoor gathering space.

Instructor will provide the following:

Cedar wood, pencils, paper, saws, drills and drill bits, glue, nails, sealer, solar lights

Students are asked to:

Dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes
