Instructor Kay Anderson
In this class you'll learn to paint a landscape with alcohol ink, a medium that creates abstract and vibrant paintings. First, you’ll create a sky using alcohol ink. Next, you’ll build a valley using multiple shades of green applied with a brush. Once your background is complete, the fun really begins as you add different colors to create your flowers. Before you know it, you’ll have a beautiful valley of blooms.
The best part? If you don’t like a section of your piece, you can simply wipe it away with isopropyl alcohol and try again. Once your valley of flowers is complete, you are welcome to make a second piece or continue experimenting on your own. Your instructor will be there with ideas and guidance along the way.
Your instructor will provide the following:
- Alcohol Ink
- Inks
- Brushes
- 99% alcohol
- Markers
- Gloves
Students are asked to bring:
- Apron or wear clothes that can get messy
- Since your class runs over the lunch hour, you may want to consider bringing a lunch or snack.
